Dear Lee County Middle School East Family,

I am excited to be here at Lee County Middle School East Campus this year.  This is an excellent school with great students and families as well as an outstanding staff.  LCMS East has been an award winning school over the years and is currently designated as a Lighthouse School to Watch. Also, we recently received another designation as an AMLE School of Distinction.  I look forward to continued success in our future.

I have 26 years of experience in education with most of that time spent in middle grades as a teacher, coach, and an administrator.  I have served in numerous administrative roles throughout my career serving as an Assistant Principal, Director, and now Principal.  I am an alumni of both Troy University and Valdosta State University.  My family includes my wife Stacy of 24 years and my son Mils.

I am so excited to be a part of the staff for Lee County Middle School East! I am very passionate about achievement and have no problem recognizing hard-working staff and students. School culture and pride are very important to me because they both influence and prepare our faculty and students for an ever-competitive world. Building relationships and responsibility are also essential as I desire to foster the growth of our students and partnerships with community members.

I reside in Lee County, along with my lovely wife, Latashi, and our blessed two children, Azuri-Rose and Daniel Laster II. 

I have been a professional in education for 14  years.  I have served grades Pre-K to 12th grade, along with various leadership opportunities.  My Education includes a bachelor’s degree in Music Education (Voice) and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Supervision from “The Unsinkable” Albany State University.

My goal is to ignite a fire to focus on Respect, Unity, Achievement, and Fun to continue to make Lee County Middle School East “The Beast!”

I am passionate about middle school education and understand the challenges faced by both students and parents during this time. My aim is to create a positive experience for all involved.

I strongly believe that every student can thrive, regardless of their starting point. I enjoy creating a fun and engaging atmosphere that helps students develop a genuine love for learning. My goal is to ensure that the students at Lee County Middle School East are enthusiastic about school, and to help them develop the skills necessary for success in the future.

I grew up in Ware County, Georgia, and have been part of the Lee County community since 2003. This upcoming year will mark my 20th year in education. I have spent the last 19 years working in various roles at the middle school level within the Lee County School System. I earned my Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Specialist degrees from Georgia Southwestern University and obtained my leadership certification from Columbus State University. My family includes my wonderful husband, Kalin, and our three amazing children—Beaux, Case, and Millie.
